Music
Worship
Since the beginning of man's existence we have felt a deep need to tell our story. From paintings on cave walls depicting hunting expeditions and battles of victory and defeat; to buildings and architecture that reflect our gods, our seasons and our traditions; to sculptures and paintings representing both celebratory events and festivals, as well as the darkness of humanity; to poetry, prose, dance and dramatic works giving voice and imagery to our struggles, joys, fears, love and secrets; to musical works, both vocal and instrumental that express our love for each other, our faith in God and our relationship with the world in which we live.
It is our desire at PCOC that we utilize any and all mediums we can to give a full and faithful expression of our story. Telling our story through readings, prayers, songs, images and words of challenge and encouragement, we hope we may become better, and help each other in, living the life of faith–being faithful followers of God in the way of Jesus.
If you have a particular talent and would be interested in contributing to the telling of our community's story, please contact us and let us together tell our story.
Choir
The choir is a community within the larger community that utilizes music as an expression or our faith and journey. We sing a variety of musical styles from the classics of the past to works of today to assist us, and the congregation, in opening our eyes to the story that we find ourselves in.
All are welcome to participate and no prior experience is required. Please join us for rehearsal on Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary.
